Vaca South Tower

The Vaca South Tower site is actually two adjacent towers: a 40-ft tall tower and a 75-ft tall tower (2,672 ft above sea level) located on top of the Blue Ridge Mountain range (on the border of the Solano and Napa Counties).

This site has 10 Internet transmitters (called access points) and two backhauls (primary and secondary Internet feed lines). Both main backhauls connect to the Lagoon Valley Tower. Each transmitter connects up to 30 customers and transmits a directional signal (45, 60 or 90 degrees) up to 20 miles. There are also two smaller backhauls connecting to the Central Lane Relay (Winters).

The site has a 36-hour battery backup system that starts automatically in the event of a PG&E power outage. If necessary, there is also an onsite generator.
