Berryessa Peak Tower

Posted by Administrator on

The Berryssa Peak Tower (Capay Valley) is a 125-ft tall tower (2,995 ft above sea level) overlooking Lake Berryessa to the West and Yolo County to the East. This site is our only mountain top tower in Yolo County.

This site has 6 Internet transmitters (called access points) and two backhauls (primary and secondary Internet feed lines). The backhauls connect to the McQueen Tower. Each transmitter connects up to 30 customers.

The site has a 1-hour battery backup system that starts automatically in the event of a PG&E power outage. This battery backup's main purpose is to provide enough (temporary) power until the primary backup power source (an onsite propane generator) is up and running (~10 minutes). The generator provides up to 150+ hours of backup power.
